Tips for Selling Your Home
-
Curb Appeal
Many prospective buyers will drive by your home before setting an appointment for a walkthrough, and if they do not like the outside of the home, they will drive on to the next. Make your best effort to keep shrubbery and trees trimmed and the grass mowed, trimmed and edged. Walkways should be kept clear of toys, yard tools and projects that can be seen from the street. Clean away all debris. Park cars in the garage or away from the front of the home as possible. RVs should be moved as well. When the weather allows, plant flowers to add color.
-
Pricing to Sell
Excitement is high when a home first comes on the market and this enthusiasm statistically continues for up to seven weeks. The longer a property stays on the market, the less the seller will maximize upon its sale and the more stressful it can be — especially if you are purchasing a new home across the same tim period. The market is very competitive. Over-pricing by a few thousand dollars can put maximum profits at risk.

Staging Your Home
Decluttering, cleaning carpets, and adding a fresh coat of paint where possible all help to create a home that is warm, bright and free of sensory distractions for a more positive viewing experience.
• Keep the lights on, even when sunny
• Have soft music playing at a low level
• Burn a scented candle with a mild aroma
• Keep all window coverings open
